This version of the Lake Constance cycle tour brings you in 5 days around the lake. The stages are a little bit longer than the classical version but are still manageable for cyclists who are out of training. The Alps, romantic villages and sleepy towns around the glistening lake. Be impressed by an unforgettable and fascinating landscape, unique in Europe.

The area is flat without any climbs, just moderately hilly in the Höri region. You bike on cycle paths, mostly along the shore of the lake, no major uphill stretches. The legs have distances from 50 to 85 km and are suited for a sportive tour.
From Constance you will cycle along the Gnadensee and into the old imperial town of Radolfzell. You will continue on along good pathways over the Höri peninsula to Stein am Rhein, which is full of beautiful houses adorned with frescoes and where you can have an excellent lunch along the Lake promenade. You will continue on along the lakeshore through well-kept Swiss fishing villages on your way back to Constance.
From Constance-Staad you will take the car ferry to Meersburg with its ancient Merovingian castle. You will cycle through vineyards to the "Zeppelin-town" of Friedrichshafen, where the museum and the harbour are worth a look. The tour continues on through orchards to the Bavarian island town of Lindau and the festival town Bregenz.
The start of today’s tour will lead you through the Rhine delta, an important nature conservation area. Near Altenrhein you will cross over the border to Switzerland, where you will find the market hall; the last building of the artist Friedrich Hundertwasser. You will cycle back to Constance mainly through orchards and the small towns of Arbon and Romanshorn.

For people who would like to have the support of a motor when they’re out and about, then we can recommend our stable and reliable e-bikes; Swiss and German quality brands. The bikes have 8 gears and free-wheel. The deep step-through frames and upright sitting position make sure that you really enjoy your cycling.
Airport: Friedrichshafen (FDH), Zürich (ZRH)
Zurich is the closest large airport and direct flights from Europe and Overseas are available. The Zurich airport has its own railway stop. Trains run frequently between Constance and Zurich (airport and city). It’s about 1 hour between the airport and Constance. Alternatively, you can fly into Friedrichshafen and take a 40 mins ferry across the lake.
Parking: private parking place in Constance, € 29,-/tour (reservation possible, then payable in advance). Public parking or hotel parking places depending on the arrival hotel, approx. € 20,- per day, (no reservation possible, payable locally).
