Mine River tour August 2016
We did enjoy this tour down the Main River and as an un-guided our two had problems finding our way even though we dont speak or read German. it would have been a benefit if more of the documentation was in English however we did know from the outset this was not the case. Unfortunately the bike provided are very heavy and were difficult to ?push? down hill and so we didnt take any side tour up to historical sites etc. The bikes were reliable and we didnt have one problem with them.
We chose the better hotels however not all were satisfactory - specifically the hotels in Bassfurt and Wurzburg were very average and the hotels in Burgstadt and Ashaffenburg were not in the centre of town as promised.
I would recommend the tour however not using the bikes we were allocated.
