We did definitely enjoy this tour. We were generally able to follow the directions without any major problems and the scenery was quite beautiful. Our favorite day was the ride from Mestre to Chioggia. We enjoyed cycling on Lido and Palestrina and taking the ferries. Probably our second most favorite day was the ride from Treviso to Mestre along the river. We did have a couple of issues. On the first day, the tour operator did not have our maps and route descriptions. They apparently mistakenly thought these had been mailed to us. They were able to get the maps and route descriptions, but they appeared to be outdated. In fact, there were four other riders with us and their directions were different at some points. Particularly on the ride from Treviso to Mestre, their directions were quite different. They seem to have a more up to date set of directions. What arriving in Mestre, there were no directions to our hotel, the Michelangelo. We had a map but it showed the hotel in the wrong location. Luckily we looked into this on our own and got the correct address. We are also very unhappy with that hotel. It seemed quite run down. The staff were not very helpful. Our room had a bad musty smell. The wireless did not work in our room and the staff had no idea how to deal with that. We try to get a drink at the bar but we were told was closed. I cannot imagine this is a four star hotel and I do think you should put people up here. I would say that all the other hotels we stayed at were fine. In a couple of locations would have liked hotels that were closer to the city center. In fact, we did not even stay in Chioggia, but at the next town after Chioggia, although the hotel there was very nice. I think you should look into these issues, but I would emphasize that overall it was a very good experience.
