Cycling through Bohemia
Directions were difficult to follow in some places, ended up in a field on first day! Only one really nice hotel in Trebon, the others were OK but felt we were given the worst rooms, in the attic which were very warm and up lots of stairs. After a days cycling they were the last thing we needed, especially having to get the luggage up as well! Mattress in the hotel in Jindrichuv Hradec was very thin. Compared to the cycle ride along the Danube there weren’t many places to stop on the route. The suggestion to do the tour in reverse would have been much harder and as it was 36C one day far too hot for me. Lovely towns to explore in the evening and Prague at the end was busy but definitely worth visiting, although not on Mondays when some of the museums are closed!
