A once in a life time trip
We travelled a long way to start the trip. And very excited we set off from Brussels. We were not disappointed, all the travel arrangements of luggage transfer and accommodation happened as promised. And the trip was beautiful with lovely scenery, not too strenuous cycling and great ambience. After initial frustration with road works interfering with the travel guide and getting used to the way instructions were given we were able to embrace the adventure. More explicit instructions in Leuven where a bridge is closed and a U turn is required with little warning would have helped.
The cities we visited were each unique in their own way and we had fun exploring them, if only we had days in each one! Unfortunately we only had just enough time to search out the good suggestions in the travel notes,
There was plenty of opportunity to observe the way the canals work as we cycled along just keeping up with gigantic barges.
