Croatia cyling and boating along Adriatic coast and islands
I’ve made 17 vacation cycling trips all over Europe, N. America and Asia during the past 18 years, and this one was the best I’ve experienced. The crucial factor was the beatiiful and spacious new boat, the New Star, and its excellent crew, especially the waiters/ bartenders, Ted (or Theo) and Crisilla (sp?--young, blonde woman form Istria sho is working on her masters in psychology). The other crew people were very nice and helpful. The food was excellent and plentiful. Also, we had 2 experienced and accommodating guides, Evanna and Senad. The ebikes, which was our first experience with them, helped us on those steep climbs on Havar and the other islands. We loved the added-on excursion from Zadar to the Plevices National Park. However, I can’t say enough about how pleased we were with our boat and our nice accommodations. I’ve been on other boats, including a small one on a cyling trip to the Dalmation Islands 7 years ago (not booked through Rad+Reisen), which detracted from our overall good experience of visiting beatiful locales. So, please be mindful in the future of selecting the best, newest boats! The added cost to us was worth it.
