Flanders 2019
We have just finished the tour through Belgium (Flandrian Trail ). Overall we liked it because of the beautiful cities on the way, decent hotels & board. The luggage transport was always on time & the bikes were OK.. Belgium is a very bike -friendly country and cycling roads are everywhere.
However :
- the travel book & the tour description are not up-dated; several times the proposed road was closed because of some construction works etc. & we had to make a detour;
- the road is somethimes not well signeposted & the description does not help a lot; we used a map which was much more useful;
- it would be nice to live in more central located hotels - particularly in Brugge ;
- the stadard of the hotels was OK (except hotel Secundo in Bornem) although we didn’t like the style of the Velotel in Brugge (big hotel for group tours and "all inclusive" style of board)
