Istrian wine roads
We cycled the Istria wine roads tour October 1 to 8, 2019. Stunning landscape. Great food and hospitality. The route was a bit more challenging than we had expected as leisure cyclists - especially the climb to Groznjan, the summit to Hotel Kastel in Motovun and several sections where we shared the road with cars, tour buses and trucks. I had an e-bike which made the route very doable. The bike and battery were great - I had lots of e-power to spare using between 50% to 60% each day. All four of us had one instance of our bike chain coming off - however the chain came off several times a day for my sister. When we brought this to the attention of Fiore tours on day 4 they brought her a new bike. No chain issues day 5 and 6. Great ride. We should have brought it to the company?s attention sooner. All in all a fun time, good exercise and a wonderful way to interact with a country. We would book again with Rad and Reisen.
