Itinerary 2-days-tour

Day 1: Vienna – Bratislava, approx. 42 km + train Haslau – Wolfsthal

Depart from the big city life and ride into pure nature. The “Donauauen” National Park can easily be enjoyed in peace and quietness. A passage with a small ferry (not incl.) is a possible timeless adventure. After a short break on a quick train ride, you get back on the bike path and cycle to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Perched high above the city, a majestic castle salutes you from afar. The affectionately restored old part of the city and their innumerable cafés are awaiting your visit. Take advantage and enjoy a stroll through this remarkable city.

Day 2: Bratislava - Vienna

Provided bus from Bratislava to Vienna. Option: hydrofoil boat ride (surcharge applies). Duration: approx. 1:20 p.m.

Itinerary 3-days-tour

Day 1: Vienna – Bad Deutsch Altenburg/surroundings, approx. 46 km

The Danube cycling path leads you on peaceful path through the "Donauauen“ National Park, passing the castles of "Orth“ and "Eckartsau“. Then reaching the former Roman city Petronell-Carnuntum (Roman excavations) and visiting the health resort Bad Deutsch Altenburg. The vineyards of Carnuntum offer you countless delights.

Day 2: Bad Deutsch Altenburg/surroundings – Bratislava, approx. 21 km

After a short ride you reach the border city of Hainburg. Through an impressive nature Reserve, you ride directly into the city of Bratislava.

Day 3: Bratislava - Vienna

Provided bus from Bratislava to Vienna. Option: hydrofoil boat ride (surcharge applies). Duration: approx. 1:20 hour

    Arriving by public transport

    U4 Station Stadtpark

    by foot: directly at the Stadtpark

    U4: depending on which platform is closed, go to Karlsplatz or Landstraße to change in the U4 train, that goes in the opposite direction to arrive at Stadtpark.

    tram: go to Weihburggasse (line 2) or Schwarzenbergplatz (line 2, 71 and D) by tram. From there, you will reach the Kursalon by foot in a few minutes.

    Rental bicycles & equipment

    Our bicycles are state-of-the-art quality bikes, designed specifically for the requirements and wishes of our guests. This is how we created easy-running, robust touring bikes with a low comfort entry, precise Shimano Nexus 8-speed hub gears, modern V-brakes, hollow aluminum rims and puncture-proof tires. The elevating handlebars allow for comfortable and back-friendly riding. The bikes in our fleet are mostly not older than 3 years. During the duration of the trip you are liable for any damage, loss or theft.

    The following bikes are available with 28" tires in various frame sizes (Men’s frames are provided for men over 188 cm) :

    • 21-speed trekking bikes UNISEX with hand brakes and freewheel
    • child seat, child trailer, pull-along bikes

    Our rental bikes are equipped with a spacious waterproof pannier, a handy handlebar bag, service kit with tools, air pump,bike lock per room.


    Breakdowns

    Breakdowns or punctures can occur even with new wheels and the best maintenance. Fix punctures yourself, in case of major damage please contact our on-site staff. Please do not have any repairs done to the bikes without our approval.


    Bringing of own bikes

    You are welcome to bring your own bike. This is specially adapted to your needs and we understand very well that you would naturally like to have it with you on your bike trip. Do not forget to bring a tool bag including necessary keys and spare tube as well as a lock and check the bike for functionality before your departure.
