Tour profile/Level 1-2:

In the Höri region it is slightly hilly, apart from that the route is mainly even along tarred cycle paths. The path runs partially along the lakeshore and partially along lakeshore roads. Sporadically there are short, unfortified sections around Friedrichshafen the cycle path runs parrallel to the highway. The lakeshore is mostly open to the public.

Roundtrip 7 days

Day 1: Constance/Kreuzlingen
Individual arrival. Enjoy the fantastic city Constance with its Sea Life Center and the archeological museum.

Day 2: Constance/Kreuzlingen – Radolfzell - Stein am Rhein/Gailingen, approx. 45 - 55 km
First you cycle to the former imperial and todays’s spa town Radolfzell. From there, you continue your journey on the peninsula Höri to Stein am Rhein in Switzerland or Gailingen in Germany.

Day 3: Stein am Rhein/Gailingen – Konstanz  - Überlingen, approx. 45 - 55 km + boat trip
Today`s bike leg leads you along the swiss shore of the lake to Constance. In Wallhausen you take the boat transfer to Überlingen, your destination for today. There, you can admire the gothic cathedral or the famous lakeside promenade.

Day 4: Überlingen – Kressbronn/Wasserburg/Lindau approx. 50 - 60 km
Leaving Überlingen you pass the baroque church of pilgrimage Birnau and the old city Meersburg until you arrive in the city of zeppelin Friedrichshafen. Overnight stay in Kressbronn or surroundings.

Day 5: Kressbronn/Wasserburg/Lindau – Höchst/Rorschach/Arbon, approx. 35 - 60 km
Discover the city centre of Lindau which is situated on an island. You cross the border to Austria. Do not miss to visit the festival town of Bregenz with its famous lake stage. Passing the Rhine delta, you reach Switzerland again. Overnight stay in Höchst, Rorschach or Arbon.

Day 6: Höchst/Rorschach/Arbon – Constance/Kreuzlingen, approx. 35 - 55 km
Again along the Swiss shore of the river in the canton Thurgau, you cycle until Constance. Enjoy your last day in the beautiful old town and on the lake.

Day 7: Constance/Kreuzlingen
Individual departure or extension.

Rountrip 8 days (incl. Rhine Falls)

Day 1: Constance/Kreuzlingen
Individual arrival. Enjoy the fantastic city Constance with its Sea Life Center and the archeological museum. Take a stroll around the old town of Constance or visit the Rosgartenmuseum (entrance included).

Day 2:  Constance/Kreuzlingen – Radolfzell - Überlingen, approx. 50 km
On your way to Überlingen you pass through the old imperial city Radolfzell and then cycle across the "Bodanrück". Impressive patrician houses, protective towers and city moats characterize the townscape of Überlingen.

Day 3: Überlingen - Kressbronn/Lindau, approx. 50 - 60 km
Today you cycle to Friedrichshafen via Meersburg with its old Castle. From Friedrichshafen, where you can visit the zeppelin museum, through orchards to Kressbronn.

Day 4: Kressbronn/Lindau - Höchst/Rorschach/Arbon, ca. 35 - 60 km
The first highlight is the Bavarian city Lindau - visit the city centre on the island. Soon after you reach the Austrian border and Bregenz, where you should visit the lake stage. Your destination for the day is Höchst in Austria or Rorschach in Switzerland.

Day 5: Höchst/Rorschach/Arbon - Constance/Kreuzlingen, approx. 35 - 55 km
You cycle through the Canton of Thurgau with its huge apple orchards. The route takes you through small villages and Romanshorn with the biggest harbour of Lake Constance back to Constance/Kreuzlingen.

Day 6: Constance/Kreuzlingen - Schaffhausen, approx. 50 km
Through picturesque Swiss fishing villages along the South shore of the Untersee via Stein am Rhein to Schaffhausen, the village with 170 oriels, many fountains and beautiful house fronts.

Day 7: Schaffhausen - Rhine Falls - Constance/Kreuzlingen, approx. 55 km + boat trip
Today you cycle to the Rhine Falls, the largest European waterfalls. On the other side of the Rhine back to Stein am Rhein and along the "Höri" to Gaienhofen and by boat to Reichenau Island. From there back to Constance.

Day 8: Constance/Kreuzlingen
Individual departure or extension.

    We rent comfortable unisex bikes in a variety of frame sizes to our guests, also men’s bikes from a body height of 1,75 m. Both models are available with a 7-speed hub gear and back-pedal brakes or 24-derailleur gears and free-wheel.

    With the Flyer electric bike (8-gear bike with free-wheel) every bike tour is a breeze! If you had few opportunities to cycle over the last weeks or if you are not sure concerning your fitness, but also with physical disabilities, every bike ride is a treat! The shiftable, low noise electric drive of our modern electric bike relieves you of some of the work and increases the pedal force up to 3 times ... So you can now book a bike tour together with cyclists who have different fitness levels. Acclivity can be handled easily.

    ARRIVAL BY PLANE

    Airport: Friedrichshafen (FDH), Zürich (ZRH)

    Zurich is the closest large airport and direct flights from Europe and Overseas are available. The Zurich airport has its own railway stop. Trains run frequently between Konstanz and Zurich (airport and city). It’s about 1 hour between the airport and Konstanz. Alternatively, you can fly into Friedrichshafen and take a 40 mins ferry across the lake.
