Like the pearls, typical villages follow each other along the 170 km of the Alsace Wine Route.
In many of them the time seems to be to stop since the Middle Ages. Obviously here everything is about wine, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot noir, Gewürztraminer and Silvaner. But also around culinary delights like Munster cheese, Choucroute, Baeckeoffe, Kougelhopf and Frammekueche.
The exit point of this romantic trip is the cultural capital of Switzerland: Basel. Is it Obernai, Andlau, Ribeauvillé, Riquewihr, Kaysersberg, the wine capital city of Colmar or Eguisheim that delighted you?
