Tour from/to St. Malo

Day 1: St. Malo
Individual arrival to St. Malo

Day 2: St. Malo - Jersey Island, approx. 35 km
The ferry will bring you to Jersey after breakfast. In Jersey the biketour starts to the pitoresque harbour of Gorey. The countryside varies between lovely flowers and sharp rockets. Long and sandy beaches decorate the Island. 

Day 3: Jersey Island, approx. 50 km
Along the St. Aubin Bay you will reach the small village St. Aubin. Along a former train path you will be led to the southern east, until the ruin of Grosnetz. Follow the flat Bay of St. Ouen.

Day 4: Jersey - Guernsey, day of rest
You leave Jersey by ferry and will be transfered to Guernsey. Enjoy the rest of the day by exploring the Island for example to St. Peter Port. 

Day 5: Guernsey Island Roundtrip, approx. 46 km
Through fields and grassland you cycle along the west coast. Lucky you, if there is low water, you have the possibility to travel to Lihou Island, be aware as there is only a small path but the view is worth it. 

Day 6: Excursion to Sark Island
Enjoy the car-free Sark Island whether on foot, on your wheels or with the horse-drawn carriage. Via ferry you will go to and from the Island.

Day 7: Guernsey Island Roundtrip, approx. 40 km
On the way to the northern coast of the Island you will find the beautiful garden of Saumarez. Further to the Bay of Cobo and Salina, whose long and sandy beaches invite you for a cycling break. 

Day 8: Guernsey Island -  St.  Malo
Your biketour ends with a ferry ride from Guernsey to St. Malo. Individual departure or extended stay.

Tour Jersey - Guernsey

Day 1: Jersey Island Individual arrival to Jersey. Included transfer from airport to the starthotel. This tour is best-adapted for arrivals by airplane to Jersey airport. (For further information referring arrival please see "Travel/FAQ")

Day 2: Roundtrip Jersey Island, approx. 28 km / 19 miles

Today starts with a ferry to the Island of Jersey. You cycle to the southeast of the island via harbor Rocque and Grouville Marsch to St. Helier.

Day 3: Bay of Jersey + Castles of Grosnez and St. Ouen, approx. 36 km / 24 miles
Discover magnificent cliff paths that hug the coast and offer views of stunning harbors and rocky seascapes before dipping down into picturesque coves and villages. By bicycle you visit the Port of St. Aubin, which was the first of the island. Today’s highlight is the ruined castle Grosnez and St. Ouen.

Day 4: Jersey Island - Seaside of Lecq + Bay of St. Aubin, approx. 34 km / 21 miles
The biketour along tree-lined green lanes starts in St. Helier and takes you through the pretty countryside with old farmhouses and beautiful flowers until the bay of St Aubin. Visit the breathtaking beach at Lecq which was well
known by pirates and smugglers in the past.

Day 5: Jersey Island - Guernsey Island, approx. 12 - 29 km / 8 - 19 miles
After your breakfast you will have a ferry ride to the island of Guernsey. The greatest attraction are the coastlines with their towering cliffs and long swathes of golden sand. You explore the town Jerbourg by bike. From there you will have a scenic view to the Channel Islands and the French coast.

Day 6: Roundtrip Guernsey Island, approx. 34 km / 21 miles
You cycle from St. Peter to the imposing cliffs of Pleinmont Point. Discover the wild south coast of Guernsey before you will cycle back to St. Peter. 

Day 7: Guernsey Island - Sark Island - Guernsey Island, approx. 12 - 17 km / 8 - 11 miles

The island of Sark is just a 45 min. boat ride from Guernsey, but set your watch back hundred of years. Many of the buildings date back several centuries, and the ones more recently built meld with the ancient ones. Cars are banned, the bike is the "King of the Road"! Along rugged cliffs you will find some small beautiful sandy or pebble beaches & bays. Do
not miss the magnificent gardens of La Seigneurie. In the evening return to Guernsey.

Day 8: Guernsey Island
Transfer from the hotel to the airport in Guernsey or extended stay. Alternative you can take a ferry to Jersey Island for your flight back home. (supplement, for further informations please see "Travel/FAQ" or "Prices")

    Rental Bikes and Equipment (pre-reservation and supplement)

    You can choose between 21-speed trekking bikes (women- or menframe) or E-bikes, each bike equipped with a saddle bag. Helmets can be rented up on request. Rental bikes will be overhanded in Jersey, Guernsey and Sark. In St. Malo rental bikes are not provided. For add. overnight stays during the tour (Jersey and Guernsey) bike rental can be extended.     E-bikes

    With an e-bike every bike tour is a breeze! If you had few opportunities to cycle over the last weeks or if you are not sure concerning your fitness, but also with physical disabilities, every bike ride is a treat! The shiftable, low noise electric drive of our modern e-bike relieves you of some of the work and increases the pedal force up to 3 times ... So you can now book a bike tour together with cyclists who have different fitness level. Acclivity can be handled easily.

    Bringing of own bikes

    We do not suggest to bring Your own bikes as You have them to check-in at the ferry point approx. 3/4 h prior departure. No extra charge is needed for the ferry transport of the own bikes. Bikes will not be transported by the ferry that departes from Guernsey to Sark. Alternatives on Sark: Walking or horse carriage ride.

    The German carrier Lufthansa offers direct/indirect flights from and to the Channel Islands/Jersey (JER) once a week from April to September. Departures from the Suisse, Germany and Austria via London. Direct flights from Hamburg/Dusseldorf/Munich in Germany.

    Parking: St. Malo

    • Unattended parking lot in St. Malo, at the harbor "Terminal du Naye" (approx. EUR 10 per day).
    • Parking lot St. Malo/St.-Servan, outside of St. Malo, approx. 1 km from the port "Terminal du Naye", free of charge but mostly fully booked on Tuesday/Friday because of a local market.
    • Unattended parking lot of the municipality of St. Malo, in St. Malo/Intramuros. (EUR 9 pro Tag / July-August EUR 14 per day)
    • Underground parking St. Vincent, St. Vincent Plaza (approx. EUR 29 per day)

    Train station: St. Malo

    Train ride with the TGV to the train station "Paris/Montparnasse". Further to St. Malo by local train. (duration: approx. 3 h from Paris/Montparnasse) From the train station St. Malo to the ferry port "Terminal du Naye" by bus (approx. EUR 1 per ticket) or with a Taxi. (approx. EUR 5-8 per taxi-ride)

    Bringing your own bike only up on request because of the transport with the ferries. The ferries are very small and can only transport a limited amount of bikes and the ferry to/from the Sark Island does not transport bikes.
