A lovely trip
This was a lovely trip, even if it was a last minute change due to circumstances beyond the control of Rad+Reisen.. Everything was wonderful - the cycling, the crew, the guests, the weather, the scenery etc. We enjoyed all the cycling. I tried an Ebike for the first time, and I must say that they have really evolved into very good bikes. It dd feel like cheating, but for 10 km road climbs in the heat, it was a very good option.
The guests were a mixture of nationalities, and they all mixed together, and got on well together. This doesn’t always happen, and was a real bonus. The guides, a married couple called Marko and Ivana were incredibly good and nice. They also commented to us that they had had a very nice and very easy week!
The ship’s crew were lovely. The captain had the most wonderful sense of humour and he was very good company.
The only poor comment I would make about the San Snova boat is that it has no twin cabins, apart from one on the upper deck, even though we booked one. All the upper cabins have what they call French double cabins - which are double beds pushed into an alcove with an inaccessible bunk on top. An adult cannot really get into this bed, as it is barely 50 cm from the ceiling. We therefore swapped for a below-deck cabin, which was large and had far more room, and is far more sound-proof than the ones above deck. We had just been charged extra for the cabin we hadn’t booked above deck, and didn’t get this back!
