Family reunion for 60th anniversary celebration
This trip was a wonderful family holiday for three generations. The easy cycle route and tagalong bike made it possible for a five-year-old to do the tour, and e-bikes made it possible to pull the tagalong and assist ’grandfather’ while ’grandmother’ was fine on a regular bike. Very convenient and clear cycle paths and signs. There were plenty of attractions and entertainment, both on land and on the boat. The crew were exceptional in pleasing guests with their hospitality and service. The meals were a surprise, several courses of fine local cuisine. The landscape was spectacular. Going through the locks on the river was very interesting, leaving us impressed with the skillful and dedicated captain and crew. We have been on several boat & bike tours, and this was different for its size with so many people. There were many public rooms to gather in, though at times all the people seemed to be a crowd. In the end, happy memories indeed!
