Great trip but.....
Setting up the trip through Rad Reisen was excellent - Theresa was prompt with communications and information was very helpful. The trip was amazing. Our only issues with the tour were the orientation by FunActiveVacations, the confusing set up of the trip book, and certain transalations to English that made little or no sense. Orientation - the speaker basically read thru the tour book quickly; we were given only German books and he did not have an English copy for us until the next day; he did not explain that when we got to Jesolo we had another 14 km to the hotel; did not explain that the 14 km was actually part of the riding for stage 2. Set-up of tour book - example stage 1 riding of 14 km to hotel was actually detailed in stage 2 information; this issue which occurred on every stage was VERY CONFUSING until we all figured it out. Translation issues - was the book originally in German, translated to Italian, translated to English by a person for whom English is not a first langauge? It certainly seemed so. If the direction is to TAKE A RIGHT TURN - then say TAKE A RIGHT TURN. Make clear and make it match the map! And finally, read the book....included in the information for Stage 6 are editting notes. Proofread people!!!
