Single Centre Cycling in Peschiera, Lake Garda, staying at Hotel Puccini.
The hotel is excellent. The bikes were excellent. The cycling directions are ok but the maps are poor - difficult to read and not enough detail. We were disappointed to find, after taking the ferry to Garda, that there was a market along the first part of our cycle route and we had to push our bikes through crowds of people. There was no information about the market, or on an alternative route. It would be better to have flexible ferry and train tickets. Also the cycle path along the River Mincio was closed for a triathlon event for the weekend we were there. Information on this would have been helpful. Unpaved cycle paths are fine, but many of them were covered in loose gravel, making them rather dangerous.
