You will ride mainly on cycle paths, on minor agricultural tarred roads or on little secondary roads without much traffic.

Day 1: Strasbourg

Arrival at Strasbourg, check-in at the hotel and free tour of the town.

Day 2 - 6: Routings/program suggestions

You can find our suggestions for the nicest bike tours in the surroundings below. It is up to you, which ones you choose and combine...or if you do something completely different.

Tour 1: Round-trip to the wine villages and the region of Ackerland with rich farms, approx. 59 km

The Canal de la Bruche once served to transport wine from the wine-growing areas to the capital. Today the cycle path runs along this canal from Strasbourg to Molsheim. Then you cycle through the region of Ackerland with big old farms.

Tour 2: Strasbourg - Sélestat - Colmar, approx. 35 - 52 km

You take the bicycles into the train from Strasbourg to Sélestat (about 20 min.). Then you cycle on the Wine Route, the cycle paths runs through the famous vineyards and their wine-growing villages, which are among the most beautiful in Alsace: Ribeauvillé, Riquewihr until Colmar. From Colmar you take the train to Strasbourg (about 40 min.).

Tour 3: Strasbourg, day of rest

Strasbourg is considered by many to be the most cycle-friendly city in France, with over 130,000 cyclists and almost 500 Km of cycling paths. You differently discover the city.

Tour 4: Round-trip along the Rhine and Rhine Canal, approx. 35 km

You leave Strasbourg and cycle to Kehl on the cycle path by the deep forests along the German Rhine bank. The modern Bridge „Pierre Pflimlin“ brings you back on the French bank. You cycle along the Rhône-Rhine canal to Strasbourg.

Tour 5: Round-trip along the Rhine, approx. 54 km

You leave Strasbourg and still cycle to Kehl on the cycle path. You go to the north to Rheinau and cross the dam to Gambsheim. The cycle path leads before Strasbourg about the castle “Chateau de Pourtalès” and its big garden.

Day 7: Strasbourg

    Bicycles including panniers

    The offered bikes are touring bikes with an aluminium frame and kitted with responsive brakes and gears. Plus: comfort gel saddles, flat-palmed grips, Schwalbe Marathon anti-puncture tyres. 

    You can choose between the following bikes:

    • 7-speed-bike with hand brake and backpedal brake
    • 21-speed-bike with hand brakes Unisex or mens frame (from 185cm up)
    • E-Bikes

    To the complete equipment belongs of course also suitable accessories: Saddle bag, handlebar bag, service set with tool and spare tube, air pump, and lock.


    E-bike

    By popular demand, we have now invested in a considerable number of e-bikes, much favoured by cyclists who love the great Outdoors, but prefer to let the bike take the strain. With an electro bike every bike tour is a breeze! The shiftable, low noise electric drive of our modern E-bike relieves you of some of the work and increases the pedal force up to 3 times ... Acclivity can be handled easily.


    Private bicycles

    You are welcome to bring your own bicycle. This is adapted especially to your needs. Do not forget to bring a repair kit with all necessary tools such as: keys, reserve tube and lock. Please check your own bicycle for operability upon arrival.
