Alsace enjoyment
Orientation:
The hotel had an appropriate room to hold us which was not utilized by Tomas. A picture of the orange arrows which marked the route would have been helpful. Advance notification of the availability of free GPS devices should have been told to us at the time of booking and a reminder later.
Descriptions:
The written descriptions appeared to have translation problems which resulted in problems. Many of our books were incorrect.
Accommodations:
Very good. We like locations close to town.
Equipment:
Having both handlebar bags and back panniers were vital. Helmets excellent
The e bikes were not really checked out before hand. An actual lesson about the bike would have been good.
Some of the hotels were wonderful, some not so much. Stasbourg, Comar and Basel were wonderful.
Requiwier was just okay, and you should ditch the hotel in Mulhouse.
The pre-trip presentation by Thomas could have been better. Thomas was very nice and fun to work with, but he should have given a little more information about the tour and the trail markings. Also, some of the books in our packets were incorrect - and because his review was so quick, we did not notice that until the next morning. Also, it would have been good to provide more information about the one BIG hill we had to climb - it was very big and late in the day and many in our group were very unprepared.
I wanted to add that I thought Thomas was very responsive to our needs. I did call him a few times and each time he answered his phone and provided info or helped me with my issue. He was truly great, cared and really made an effort to make our vacation nice.
