Svendborg is an enchanting harbour city with beautiful shopping alleys, cafés and restaurants. The famous harbour is well known by sailors and directly connected with the inner city centre. This day starts with a cycle tour to the best know and preserved water castle of Europe, Egeskov. The route leads to the direction of Rantzausminde first and from there to Hvidkilde Gods, the third biggest manor on Funen. It is a traditional forest enterprise consisting of 21km² land which include 24 forests and being surrounded by 3 lakes. From here the tour continues to Stenstrup via Egeskov Mölle. Here you can find a nice castle park, a big oldtimer car exhibition, mazes and a restaurant. Enjoy this day with wonderful nature and a nice experience on castle Egeskov.

Today you will take the ferry to beautiful island Aero. The ferry ride will take 75 minutes, after this you can enjoy enchanting surroundings with lots of places for a rest and look outs over the sea with all its islands. There is a free bus driving on this island, so you can stop the tour at any time to go back to the starting point. The romantic harbour villages of Aerokobing and Marstal are worth a visit.

One of the most beautiful cycle routes goes along the coast to Faaborg with many look outs to the Funen sea with its many islands. Through woods and passing manors, there are plenty of possibilities to have a break.

In the direction of Nyborg this route is passing the little fishermen and yacht harbour Lundeborg. A fish restaurant and two cosy cafés await you, as well as a nice beach and view over the Storebelt sea. The tour passes again manors, farmer’s shops and Broholm castle. This is the perfect end of your time on fairytale island Funen.
