Ride from Salzburg to Vienna
It was difficult to locate the place where we had to collect the bikes at the start. The man who gave us the bikes was not very helpful. The computers on both bikes did not work or not calibrated properly. The maps and route description in the travel book provided were very poor. It was impossible to read the street names on the maps and they did not include the distances between towns.
Some pages in the book were in the wrong order. We could not have found our way without our own GPS and the signs on the route. The travel book should be completely rewritten by someone who can read and write English and who is also a bike rider and understands what information is required. The hotel in Salzburg (Drei Kreuzberg) was not very good and there was a lot of traffic noise. There was no air conditioning and it was very hot. All the other hotels and guesthouses were very good.
