Cycling the Dodecanese Islands (Rhodes, Kos, Leros): A great trip!
October 2022: This was our 2nd trip with the Omega folks in Rhodes, arranged through Rad & Reisen (and our 4th with Rad & Reisen). With only a minor exception, this was an excellent trip. We loved the Dodecanese Islands and will return!
This was a diverse trip, with numerous options. The cycling was excellent -- not too difficult but also not too easy. The sightseeing along the way was great. All accommodations were good to excellent (though nothing "fancy"), and breakfasts all excellent. We especially enjoyed Leros and Kos (particularly Mastichari and the Seaview Hotel). The included dinner the last night in Rhodes Town ("At Thomas" restaurant) was one of the best we?ve ever had in Greece! (We had already done the "Around Rhodes" bike trip in 2019, so Rhodes was a return to the familiar.)
Bertus and Ineke in Rhodes with Omega Cycle were great.
My only negative comment was that the printed pdf of the routing was not easy to see or follow while riding. HOWEVER, the GPX files provided by Bertus of the cycle routes were excellent and solved any issues. (Be sure to ask for these GPX files!)
Overall, we highly recommend this bicycle trip.
