Venice to Poréc
It was a good trip. We loved the Istrian countryside and the sea coast. Our concerns were:
1. All the rides were 60km+ with the exception of the ride into Portoroz. That was not clear from the description. It appeared there were different ride choices. We did not realize these were only available with ferry rides. This is just an opinion, but a two night stay in Trieste with an optional round trip ride there and ending in Portoroz would have been more enjoyable.
2. The bikes were a little rough. Two had small ongoing problems and one completely lost it?s chain the last day. That was disappointing as one of our riders then had to walk his bike for over 10 km. It also cost him a 30 euro taxi ride.
3. Anthony was so sweet and helpful. But our introduction was difficult (Anthony was hard to understand and we had to meet in a crowded, noisy lobby.)
All of that being said, we love Radreisen and we only tell you these things to make the rides better!
