Augsburg to Bozen - July 2024
Hotels very good. Really welcoming and comfortable. Some had restaurants which were excellent (made a change from pizza).
The instruction booklet was sometimes incorrect. May be a "lost in translation" from German to English now and again.
The first day from Augsburg to Landsburg am Lech, the signposting was not always clear. We ended up doing an extra 10K (as did another couple).
Perhaps to mention in furture to UK customers that grocery stores are not open on Sundays. Some of the advertised rest stops were not open.
A huge issue was the wrong meet point for the bus transfer over the Fern Pass. It was only by pure chance that a passerby told us we were not at the correct place. The hotel advertised in the instruction booklet said Zum Mohren in Imst, the correct place was 200metres down the road. We nearly missed the bus because of this.
