The area is flat without any climbs, just moderately hilly in the Höri region. You bike on cycle paths, mostly along the shore of the lake, no major uphill stretches.
From Constance you will cycle along the Gnadensee and into the old imperial town of Radolfzell. You will continue on along good pathways over the Höri peninsula to Stein am Rhein, which is full of beautiful houses adorned with frescoes and where you can have an excellent lunch along the Lake promenade. You will continue on along the lakeshore through well-kept Swiss fishing villages on your way back to Constance. It’s worth a visit along the way into one of the numerous friendly winegrowers. Overnight stay in / near Constance.
From Constance-Staad you will take the car ferry to Meersburg with its ancient Merovingian castle. You will cycle through vineyards to the "Zeppelin-town" of Friedrichshafen, where the museum and the harbour are worth a look. The tour continues on through orchards to the Bavarian island town of Lindau. With a view of the Alps, you will cycle around the Bregenz harbour and reach the end of your stage for the day. Overnight stay in Bregenz.
The start of today’s tour will lead you through the Rhine delta, an important nature conservation area. Near Altenrhein you will cross over the border to Switzerland, where you will find the market hall; the last building of the artist Friedrich Hundertwasser. You will cycle back to Konstanz mainly through orchards and the small towns of Arbon and Romanshorn. Overnight stay in / near Constance.

We rent comfortable unisex bikes in a variety of frame sizes to our guests, also men’s bikes from a body height of 1,75 m. Both models are available with a 7-speed hub gear and back-pedal brakes or 24-derailleur gears and free-wheel.

With the Flyer electric bike (8-gear bike with free-wheel) every bike tour is a breeze! If you had few opportunities to cycle over the last weeks or if you are not sure concerning your fitness, but also with physical disabilities, every bike ride is a treat! The shiftable, low noise electric drive of our modern electric bike relieves you of some of the work and increases the pedal force up to 3 times ... So you can now book a bike tour together with cyclists who have different fitness levels. Acclivity can be handled easily.

ARRIVAL BY PLANE
Airport: Friedrichshafen (FDH), Zürich (ZRH)
Zurich is the closest large airport and direct flights from Europe and Overseas are available. The Zurich airport has its own railway stop. Trains run frequently between Konstanz and Zurich (airport and city). It’s about 1 hour between the airport and Konstanz. Alternatively, you can fly into Friedrichshafen and take a 40 mins ferry across the lake.

Triples/quadruples: Please note that triples/quadruples can only be booked for max. 2 adults. Triples/quadruples often are double rooms with extra beds (which might be folding or sofa beds).
City or visitor’s tax, if payable, is not included in the travel price.
Start/Destination of this tour can also be Bregenz. During the festival period (18.07.-19.08.) this involves a surcharge of € 50,- per person.
