Day 1: Passau – Linz
A tour through the picturesque alleyways of Passau's old town, the breathtaking view over the Schlögener Schlinge to Linz, a city full of charm and history. The first day of the Passau-Vienna tour was a complete success for our two colleagues Catarina and Marijana. Highly motivated, the two of them mastered the first stage along the Danube Cycle Path to Linz.
Day 2: Linz – Grein
The second day, on the day's stage from Linz to Grein, was accompanied by glorious sunshine. This was also the first day of the year in shorts and sandals, people in a vacation mood and a delicious ice cream on the riverside promenade during a stopover in Mauthausen (at almost 30 degrees). The view over Grein was a particular highlight for both of them. Catarina and Marijana rounded off the evening with a delicious raspberry and chocolate cake at Café Schörgi.
Day 3: Grein – Marbach
Day 3 along the Danube Cycle Path took them from Grein to Marbach. The views of the valley and the picturesque villages on the other side of the river were simply magical! Their accommodation (Kerndlerhof) was a dream for both of them! Catarina: “Absolutely recommendable and beautiful!” They were able to go swimming, spend the evening on the cozy terrace and watch a variety of animals on the farm. Another highlight was the homemade bread and the delicious Kaiserschmarrn! Simply a treat for all the senses!
Day 4: Marbach – Vienna
The last day of the Passau-Vienna tour was on the agenda and took them from Marbach to Vienna. Through the breathtaking landscape along the Danube Cycle Path, the journey took them past the majestic Melk Abbey, which towers high above the Danube. A walk through Dürnstein followed and they fortified themselves with local delicacies during a short lunch break in Spitz. Catarina and Marijana then continued their cycle tour until they reached the charming town of Krems with its beautiful old town. The journey ended in the vibrant city of Vienna. From the magnificent buildings to the cozy coffee houses - this city enchants with its diversity.
The entire tour was a perfect blend of adventure, camaraderie and unforgettable experiences.
