Some comments from our bike trip
We enjoyed our cycling trip from Bruges to Amsterdam. The route was very well marked and easy to navigate. The first two days were particularly pretty cycling.
A couple of suggestions: 1. One of our bikes had a broken handlebar bag support when we picked it up at Velo-tel. Hotel staff were able to advise us to take another bike which worked out fine. It is a difficult situation when picking up the bikes one evening and starting to ride the next morning. There is no time to make last minute changes when Dutch Bike Tours staff are not present. 2. The replacement bike #2502 needs a bit of maintenance: oil/replace chain, adjust and lubricate rear shifter, cable and derailleur. (from a bike mechanic) 3. We would have appreciated having the option to rent slightly higher performance bikes (ie regular mountain bike frame geometry). We found the "cruiser" type frame to be slow and awkward to handle at low speeds. We met some people doing the trip in the other direction going into the wind every day and the bike geometry make it more difficult to cycle. 4. It may be useful in your trip description to mention the prevailing winds are from the west.
