Vienna to Trieste experience
Overall the trip was very good. The R&R App was excellent. The printed map book was in German only.
The e-bikes were generally good, and essential for this trip. However, the charger stopped working for one of the bikes on day 2 and despite reporting this (and having to send photos and videos) it was not replaced. There was an increasing problem with one e-bike where the chain kept coming off. Just once or twice a day at the beginning of the trip, but by day 8 it was 5 or 6 times (often without peddling). We reported this to Funactivetours on our arrival at Trieste. The Themana hotel in Lasko was a real highlight, but the cycle ride into Postojna was very scary down the dual cariageway next to the motorway.
But a beautiful trip across some stunning countryside and beautiful cities.
