Cycling Trip Vienna to Budapest
We abandoned the bikes on Day 4 and completed the rest of the trip by train.
The reasons are:
1. The route was boring with long stretches through farmlands. Villages were not interesting.
2. We wanted to go by train to Gyor. The train station at Mosonmagyaróvár had steep stairs. The bike channel to the platform was steep, slippery and dangerous. I couldn´t control my e-bike because it was too heavy. My husband had to get 2 bikes down & up steep stairs. When the train arrived we had to lift the e-bikes up 4 steep stairs. Without help from other people we couldn´t do this. You should warn clients about how hard and dangerous the train option is.
3. We decided that riding on long sections of roads with traffic was too dangerous for us.
4. In Gyor the front brakes on Keith´s bike started to grab the wheel and was unridable.
We have done a number of other cycling tours with your company but this one was very disappointing.
