Original itinerary thwarted, but good vacation nonetheless
We were disappointed that we couldn`t follow the original itinerary due to low water levels in the Danube.
However, Malin, our booking agent, Claudia, our cruise director, and just about every sing ship crew memeber all did their utmost to make sure we enjoyed our holiday. I cannot say enough good things about the people envolved. They are all worth their weight in gold.
Now for the little things that can probably be easily dealt with.
1. Make sure ship speaker systems work properly. Except for one or two days, we had no idea what our cruise director was saying.
2. Make sure the hot tub can maintain the desired temperature. Most of the time, it wasn`t warm enough.
3. For nights when the ship docks in harbour, consider making full board optional. The food was very good, but heavy. Sometimes, a light meal or night at a local restaurant makes for a nice change of pace.
4. Although we liked our table mates, we ate with the same two people at breakfast and supper for two weeks. Perhaps a table of six or eight people would keep things a bit more interesting.
In the final analysis, we enjoyed our holiday and would definitely book with rad + reisen again.
