Danube cycle from Germany to Hungary
Plenty of variety of culture, scenery and terrain, all explored at the optimal pace. Only one day of rain, which also featured getting lost at times and some mud when we were not lost. In some places a few more trail markers would be most beneficial. On the first half of our trip we were not provided with any tools, the stated reason being that my wife had an ebike. Apparently if we had any problems we were supposed to phone for help. Fortunately we had zero problems. To be fair we saw many other cyclists in our two weeks and only one or two who had a puncture. My wife found the ebike wonderful. She could maintain a good speed without too much exertion. Our longest day was around 80 km and, at the end of that, there was still plenty of energy left in the battery, if not in the legs! I had a good physical workout keeping up with her. So, overall, an excellent holiday for us both.
