Route descriptions still need updating, ship was hot but the overall experience was great fun.
Before travelling, I read a negative comment on this website about the map/route description and performance of the guide. One would assume this would have since been improved, but unfortunately this was not the case. Maps lacked scale, directions were inadequate and the guide was useless in terms of rescue when two groups became horribly lost.
Our "air conditioned" cabins were like furnaces in the afternoon and there was no remedy for that. Returning aboard after a hot day’s cycling was therefore unpleasant, especially as it was sometimes necessary to meet a short time frame for the ship’s departure.
Catering and bar facilities were very satisfactory and some staff members (eg Eco, Ivana) were absolutely outstanding in their willingness to make our time pleasant, even allowing for language difficulties. Housekeeping was also excellent, as was the crew who maintained the cycles.
Mid cruise, the ship’s generator failed one day, resulting in further hot areas on board, but the Captain showed empathy by offering free drinks and dinner on the cool outside upstairs deck. This was appreciated by most people.
Generally, though "Customer Service" needs re-thinking, as assistance was sometimes only grudgingly provided, and avoided wherever possible.
Scenery from the ship and time aboard was undoubtedly pleasant and apart from the heat our cabins were quite satisfactory, but I would only recommend the cycling component for those with excellent navigational skills unless the organisers seriously improve the directions and guide.
