Danube Cycling, Passau to Vienna
A very good trip, hot and sunny all the time. This was our first cycling holiday and it was as successful as we hoped, there is no denying that the bikes were pretty heavy but you soon get used to them. We enjoyed the changes in scenery, every day was totally different.
The organisation from Rad+Reisen was superb, the suitcases arrived very promptly at each hotel. Some of the hotels were quite incredible, we particularly liked the Revita Hotel Kocher, St Agatha and the Landhaus Stift Ardagger. Both were well worth the steep hills to get to them. As for the Schloss Durnstein? It was truly amazing for the first class service, the beautiful location and the total luxury.
We were less impressed with the hotel in the centre of Linz, but it was perfectly adequate.
All in all, a fantastic trip that has left us wanting more!
