Danube - Passau to Vienna
The route was excellent. The organisation was excellent. The bikes were easy to collect, the bags were always at the hotel before us, and there were always good places to leave them.
The hotels were varied but generally good:.
IBB Passau Sud was too basic: no air-conditioning (which was a big problem) and limited amenities. They were very organised about the tour though, and very helpful in directing us to pick up the bikes.
Gasthof Luger was superb. Great location (a bit close to Passau maybe), great service, great food and excellent rooms.
Hotel Prielmayerhof was ok. An average hotel but with very big rooms, which was good.
Gasthof zum Aigner Kreuz was too far from the river. It rained hard all day and we just wanted a warm shower but had to wait until 5pm to be taken up the hill.
Hotel Moser was ok. The manageress was a bit unfriendly when we arrived but was fine afterwards.
Arte Hotel was strange but ok.
Mercure Westbahnhof was good. It was a bit of a long cycle from the river but well-placed to travel into the centre afterwards.
It was excellently organised.
