South Holland Holiday
I thoroughly enjoyed the trip. I booked for 14 people. The boat was changed which worked out well. It was the de Amsterdam which was newly renovated and excellent. The on board staff were excellent. The food was good. The embarkation/disembarkation location Changed which was inconvenient. It could have gone smoother If a map showing how to get from the train/bus station to th boat was provided. Also, it was confusing as to the exact location of the boat. There were two possibilities listed. There was a notebook in th cabins with information that would have been good to have in advance. One item in th notebook was that we would be sent a link to gPs downloadable maps 4 weeks in advance, we did not receive the email with the link until Wednesday on the trip when I sent an email to you asking for it. The gps would have helped immensely since our group found itself lost at least once most days. Our tour guide Nicko seemed unpr pepared and his assistant was in training, training is understandable. Our evening discussion included reading from the brochure. No additional information as to what to do and see en route. I had done the Danube bike and barge two years ago with you and had a far superior guide. One day there was a tour of a cheese farm. We arrived at the farm at about 9:15 only to be told we had to wait until 10 am to donthe tour. It would have been better to be told to be at the tour at 10 am and that it takes approximately 30 minutes to arrive at the farm so we could do accordingly. I particularly like the self guided tours because I want to do my own thing and to have ideas on what to do and see layer out but not be mandatory. I had a wonderful time and would lead a group through you again. It would be wonderful if the above items we considered improvements to an alr day wonderful trip. Thank you for arranging this for us.
