Danube Cycle Path
Overall very happy with the tour. Wonderful path, good bikes. A few constructive criticisms. The documentation is complicated, often containing information about other tours and it is sometimes difficult to find the bits that relate to one’s actual tour. And it would be helpful to have the entire documentation (including route maps) earlier than the first day of the tour, to allow time for planning. It can sometimes feel quite rushed after travelling, finding hotel, collecting bikes etc. Directions to the place for collecting our bikes in Passau were simply wrong. These need to be reviewed. But overall attention to detail is great (bus tickets, train tickets, ferry tickets). The luggage transfer (even in Grein) worked very well. A word about hotels. While these were all of a good standared, the type of hotel (sometimes for business people) and location (in industrial estates on the edge of town) were sometimes not what we hoped for. But breakfasts were always good! And Rad und Reisen customer service responded promptly to any queries or problems.
