The trip was ok. the sites and trails wonderful, the service mediocre.

being on a bike and being with my daughter were wonderful. the views were wonderful, most of the routes were great. the hotel was pretty, the staff ok, mostly not friendly, the breakfast great. on the part of the organizing i had several issues: i was not told that the ferries end the season two days after my arrival. i should have been told that while i was booking. at the bike store, the bike and tagalong were standing ready for us. he expected me to take it and go. he did not speak a word of english, was not interested in seeing that it fit us, nothing. the tagalong was old and did not function well. i needed to fix it during the ride several times. the bicycle had sticky gears, and there was seroius difficulty going into lower gear on the uphill. i came to the bike store to get it fixed. they did not speak english and were very dismissive. although the bike person fiddled with the bike, they did not get it fixed, but i decided in do not want to go back to them again. also - i recieved a hard men’s racer’s saddle. i did not ask immediately for a replacement, as the man in the store was dismissive. however, after two days ride, when i returned to get my gears fixed, i asked for a more comfortable saddle. instead he put an outer cover on top. that really was not the correct thing to do, but he was so dismissive, i did not argue with him. in the travel books there was too little information about the places and nature on the trail. i would have appriciated more about the castle, birds, etc. i would have liked some communication from the person who did my booking, or anyone else, even via whatsapp, at the beginning of my trip, to see that i am ok. i did not hear from anyone, at all, the entire trip. i managed, but it was not a welcoming feeling. this is my second trip with rad+reisen, and the first was a lot more pleasant. beginning with real positive service with the bikes.
