On keel and wheel through the Danube Delta
My wife and I have greatly enjoyed the boat and bicycle trip through and round the Danube Delta. The tours on bike were appropriate in length and level of difficulty, and the Delta tours on boat through narrow channels were fantastic. We do want to have an active vacation and this tour fulfilled our wishes - the mixture of culture, nature (flora, fauna and beautiful vistas) and social interaction with the guides was very good. What we could have wanted was some more space on board for social interaction with the other guests - sitting along a long meal table with space for 20 guests did not facilitate this.
The guides (Lucian and Mihai) were more than excellent. They made a complete team with good knowledge of German and English, and had split the knowledge of nature, and social and cultural life well among themselves. They were a terrific team, and that sort of guide team you dream of having on your trips.
We consider this boat-and-bike tour one of the best we have made, with well-functioning equipment and a program that suited us very well. We recommend it highly!
