Danube 2019
Bicycles: every other part of the experience was quite good, but the bicycles were wretched. Heavy and Ill fitting and not well maintained. There should be an option to get decent quality bicycles as an optional upgrade. The person who gave us the bicycles in Passau was rude and abrupt and obviously didn?t care whether they fit or were in good operating condition. We all ride high end (8000.00 Euro plus) bikes at home so probably have higher expectations than most of your customers but, even considering that, I can?t imagine anyone being very happy with these bikes.
Accommodations and food were adequate at most stop and the Arcotel in Vienna was a real find and a real bargain.. The folks at the IBB Hotel Passau Sud were incredibly nice and helpful and the breakfast was very good. The folks at the hotel in Ashach were rude and the food was pretty mediocre. The rooms were nice. The hotel in Krems was quite nice, the staff were helpful and the breakfast was quite good. The food and service in a Bad Kreuzen weren?t anything special, but the location was great and room was pleasant with an amazing view.
