Lake Constance round trip
Excellent tour with good hotels en route .The hotel in Arbon was slightly disappointing as the restaurant was closed (as was most of Arbon) we were fortunate that there was a good Italian restaurant which was open but we were of the opinion that it was the worst hotel and location of the tour .The Park hotel in Überlingen was superb though the long steep hill to get to it was a tough climb at the end of a 50 k ride (the views from the terraces with a cool beer compensated for it though!) Everything else was very good and the bike collection very well organised with helpful staff .We have decided for our next tour we shall have E-bikes and half board so that we do not get the situation in Arbon again. We found the suggestions for short cuts via train and ferry very useful and used them on 2 occasions when we had encountered some ?undulating ? parts of the route and decided a leisurely spell on a ferry would be beneficial to our legs . We shall definitely use Rad +Riesen for our next trip !
