Great Route/Hotels/Cycle Paths....Bad Directions
The routes, sites and hotels were outstanding during our Anniversary Cycle Tour of Lake Constance.
Our concerns: when picking up our bikes we noticed that we had received the incorrect guides (we received trip in opposite direction); maps were extremely difficult to follow- we have been on other tours where a visual map is attached to the handlebars- we abandoned the provided maps 1 hour into Day 1 and relied on Google maps on our cellphones.
Despite that, our trip was very enjoyable; we enjoyed the additional excursions: Pile-Dwelling Museum; Bregenz Cable Car; Sea Life-Konstanz. We have decided we much prefer a bike and boat trip- no unpacking and outstanding meals provided every evening. ALso, guided tour is less stressful- watching for other cyclists/cars/signs is enough stress.
