3 days Linz to Vienna
The trip went very well overall. There were just a few things we were not pleased with. First, the information ahead of time. We would much have preferred to receive the travel documents and in particular the detaliled route information ahead of time so we were not suddenly getting this information right at the start of the trip with no time to prepare. Second, the information was good except for on the train from Krems to Vienna. The description of how to get to the hotel in Vienna did not include the train station, there was no discussion about the times we could ride the subway with the bikes, the train schedule was difficult to read and incomplete, etc. Finally, we had problems with Hotel Moser in Pochlarn. When we arrived they said we were staying at their other hotel in town, 500 m away. Our bikes would be stored at hotel Moser and breakfast was to be offered at hotel Moser. They were happy to drive us back and forth and would bring our luggage when it arrived but this restricted our flexibility. We had to schedule our breakfast instead of just going when we woke up. we could not use our bikes to go out about town without either planning it or walking over. They appeared to have a large tour group staying and had "bumped" us. While they gave us a free dinner (we didn’t particularly want or enjoy) and the other hotel was fine we were not pleased at all and it was not the type of service we would expect. Thanks, Laura Keras
