14 night Danube tour
Tour exceeded expectations. Boat was lovely- comfortable room, great food and staff on board very professional,well trained and attentive. Enjoyed the daily afternoon coffee and cake. It would have been nice to have had some variation in seating plan during the meals to meet other guests.
Ebikes were excellent, itinerary book helpful but cycling app did not work on some days- possibly because of inadequate cell reception for GPS accuracy. Several times we got lost getting in and out of cities. We enjoyed the varied routes and the optional bus tours in main cities were excellent, Tour guide Michaele was friendly but lacking knowledge of the routes- I realise it was his first tour but felt that he should have had better preparation. Daily talks were inadequate in detail with changed routes in some places. I was disappointed that he chose not to wear a helmet or high vis clothing which set a poor example.
We have recommended this tour to a number of people and found the overall organisation and communication from RAD and Reisen was excellent.
