Easy going cycling
We really enjoyed our trip from Passau to Vienna along the Danube. The route descriptions in our journey guide were excellent, and enough of the features on the route were described. We also took a few detours off the main track to explore other places along the way - we particularly enjoyed detours to Ybbs and Melk, where we walked around the town trail as well as a visit to the Monastery. The days cycling were challenging enough due to the distance, but the cycling was easy. Our luggage was always at our destination before us (and we generally arrived before 3pm) and the mixture of hotels and guest houses worked well - with great breakfasts every day.
