Much better than expected
My wife and I have completed the Passau to Vienna Rad-Reisen trip and other than the nasty weather we had for several days, thoroughly enjoyed it.
The ship, the Swiss Crown, was an unexpectedly lovely ship. I?m not sure what we thought that we were going to get, but this was really very nice.
The food was excellent with wonderful and diverse options for dinner. The staff worked very hard to make sure that everyone on board was happy.
The cycling routes were well laid out and fairly easy to navigate with reasonable distances for each day.
As regular cyclists, we were a little disappointed with the bikes. The seats were much too wide and not really suitable for us (we?re used to sitting on road bike saddles) and I think that the saddle position was wrong for me. I never have an issues cycling at home regardless of the distance I ride, but at the end of each day my knee was in pain and remained until I was able to take a cycling break. As I didn?t hear of any issues with anyone else, this could just be me.
Overall, this was a wonderful trip that I would highly recommend.
