You follow the natural course of the Inn, the area is flat, some hills, you need to be in good physical shape.

10 Day Version - The Classic

Day 1: Innsbruck
Individual arrival and check-in. You receive your travel documents. Take your time strolling through the vibrant city in the Alps with its famous "Goldenes Dachl" (golden roof).

Day 2: Innsbruck - Zillertal valley, approx. 45 km
Leave the capital of the Tyrol behind you and cycle through lovely picturesque villages and places until you reach Zillertal Valley. Enjoy the breathtaking mountain scenery and take your time to explore the old town of Hall and the well-known world of the Swarovki-Crystals.

Day 3: Zillertal Valley - Kufstein, approx. 35 km
Numerous medieval fortresses and castles accompany you along the cycle path until you reach the lovely village of Rattenberg. Visit the Tyrolean Museum of farmhouses in Kramsach, before you arrive at Kufstein.

Day 4: Kufstein - Rosenheim, approx. 36 km
Today you cycle towards the Bavarian foothills of the Alps. The River Inn is now getting wider, floating in direction of Rosenheim, in antique times already a commercial centre of the Chiemsee region.

Day 5: Rosenheim - Wasserburg, approx. 30 km
Predominantly along the dam, partly through lowland forest you cycle to Wasserburg. The special location in a river loop makes the cityscape so unique. Wasserburg with its historical old town, picturesque facades and narrow lanes is certainly one of the most beautiful city’s along the Inn.

Day 6: Wasserburg - Mühldorf, approx. 48 km
The path to Mühldorf leads through lovely farmland, small villages and great high grounds. Typical for Mühldorf is the long drawn-out square with its beautiful town houses.

Day 7: Mühldorf - Kirchdorf/Inn, approx. 46 km
Take your time to visit two of the most popular pilgrimage sites along your tour to Braunau. Altötting is Bavaria’s most important pilgrimage and birthplace of Pope Benedict XVI. Before you cycle to Braunau, well-worth seeing is the breathtaking city of Burghausen with Europe’s longest fortification.

Day 8: Kirchdorf/Inn - Bad Füssing, approx. 34 km
Today you cycle through the impressive European reservation of the Lower River Inn with its species rich bird world and flora and reach Bad Füssing offside the River Inn. Enjoy this great health and spa resort.

Day 9: Bad Füssing - Passau, approx. 36 km
Along your way to Passau picturesque baroque towns invite you for a visit: Obernberg with its lovely market square, the magnificent Monastery Reichersberg and the baroque city of Schärding with its famous Silberzeile. A confluence of River Inn and River Danube rewards Passau as one of German’s most beautiful cities.

Day 10: Passau
Included train ride back or extension at Passau.

7 Day Version - The Sportive

Day 1: Innsbruck
Individual arrival and check-in. You receive your travel documents. Take your time strolling through the vibrant city in the Alps with its famous "Goldenes Dachl" (golden roof).

Day 2: Innsbruck - Wörgl, approx. 68 km
Leave the capital of the Tyrol behind and cycle through the medieval village of Hall, past the well-known world of the Swarovki-Crystals in Wattens towards the Lower Inntal Valley. The giant glaciers can be sensed at the end of the Zillertal Valley before reaching Wörgl, today’s final destination.

Day 3: Wörgl - Rosenheim, approx. 51 km
Along your tour towards Bavaria you soon see the magnificent fortress of Kufstein. Take time for a visit before continuing to Rosenheim.

Day 4: Rosenheim - Mühldorf, approx. 78 km
Predominantly along the dam and through lowland forest you cycle to Wasserburg. Don’t miss to visit this picturesque town before you cycle offside the River Inn through lovely villages and farmland to Mühldorf.

Day 5: Mühldorf - Kirchdorf, approx. 70 km
Today you cycle towards the Upper Austrian Innviertel and you should not miss to see Altötting, one of the most popular pilgrimage sites of Bavaria and Marktl, birthplace of Pope Benedict XVI. Shortly after Braunau you cycle through the impressive European reservation of the Lower River Inn with its species rich bird world and flora.

Day 6: Kirchdorf - Passau, approx. 50 km
Along your way to Passau, picturesque baroque towns invite you for a visit: Obernberg with its lovely market square, the magnificent Monastery Reichersberg and the baroque city of Schärding with its famous Silberzeile. A confluence of River Inn and River Danube rewards Passau as one of Germany’s most beautiful cities.

Day 7: Passau

    Bicycle breakdowns

    It can happen even with new wheels and by best servicing. With the rental bikes you will receive repair vouchers which you can present in our authorised workshops along the way. Should a repair not be possible, please contact our service number! In a few hotels/guest houses we have some bikes on stock if you need to change them during the trip.


    Private bicycles

    You are welcome to bring your own bicycle. It is adapted especially to your needs. Do not forget to bring a repair kit with all necessary tools such as: keys, reserve tube and lock. Please check your own bicycle for operability upon arrival.

    Valid for danube cycle path: For the return journey to Passau we recommend the reservation of the bus transfer or the train ride - some trains offer bicycle-parking possibilities, however those are limited and a reservation is necessary.

    If a traveller rents a  bike, he is basically liable for damages and theft. When booking our rental bike disclaimer, we assume liability so that in case of loss or damage to the rental bike (when properly used and secured) no financial responsibility must be paid. Excluded from this are only lost keys, batteries and chargers of e-bikes, as well as damage due to intent or gross negligence.
