Day 1: Innsbruck
Individual arrival in Innsbruck, surrounded by the Karwendel mountains. There is still time to explore Innsbruck on foot. The "Golden Roof", for example, is worth a visit, as is Mount Isel, which offers a picturesque view over Innsbruck.
Day 2: Innsbruck – Kufstein, approx. 50 km + train ride
You leave the Tyrolean capital behind you and cycle through picturesque little towns and villages to Strass at the entrance to the Zillertal. Enjoy the breathtaking mountain panorama and take time to visit the old town of Hall and the Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens. Then take the train from Brixlegg to Kufstein.
Day 3: Kufstein – Wasserburg, approx. 65 km
Leaving Kufstein behind you, you now cycle into the Bavarian Alpine foothills. Mostly on the embankment and partly in alluvial forests, you cycle leisurely to Wasserburg. The special location in the river bend creates a unique townscape. With its historic old town, beautiful facades and narrow alleyways, Wasserburg is certainly one of the most beautiful towns on the Inn.
Day 4: Wasserburg – Mühldorf, approx. 50 km
The route to Mühldorf leads through pleasant farmland, somewhat away from the Inn, through small villages and beautiful hills. The long town square with its beautiful town houses is typical of Mühldorf.
Day 5. Mühldorf – Kirchdorf, approx. 45 km
Two special pilgrimage sites await you on this stage: Altötting, Bavaria’s most important place of pilgrimage, and Marktl. Before you cycle to Kirchdorf am Inn, the breathtaking Burghausen with the longest castle complex in Europe beckons.
Day 6: Kirchdorf – Bad Füssing, approx. 35 km
This section takes you through the Lower Inn European nature reserve. The floodplain landscape with its extraordinary variety of plants is a breeding ground for numerous water birds. A little away from the river you reach Bad Füssing. Enjoy the huge range of health and wellness facilities.
Day 7: Bad Füssing – Passau, approx. 35 km
On the way to Passau, picturesque baroque towns line up one after the other: Obernberg with its beautiful market square, the magnificent Reichersberg Abbey and the baroque town of Schärding with its Silberzeile. At the confluence of the Inn and Danube rivers, Passau rewards you as one of the most beautiful cities in Germany.
Day 8: Passau
Individual departure, included return train journey to Innsbruck or extension in Passau.
