After picking up your bike (if you’ve booked a rental bike), your tour begins toward Eugendorf and Thalgau. On relaxed and quiet paths, you’ll reach Lake Mondsee, where you’ll cycle along the imposing Drachenwand – a striking rock formation that towers impressively over the lake. From the Scharflinghöhe, you’ll enjoy a magnificent view of Lake Wolfgang. Afterward, a scenic descent takes you down to St. Gilgen, where you’ll reach the shore of the crystal-clear lake.

In the morning, it’s worth taking a short detour to St. Wolfgang, a picturesque village with historic charm and a beautiful lakeside promenade. You’ll then cycle to Bad Ischl, the former summer residence of Emperor Franz Joseph. Magnificent villas, traditional coffeehouses, and numerous cultural attractions give this charming spa town its unique character. The route then follows a leisurely path along the Traun River to the shores of Lake Traunsee.

Nestled between steep mountain slopes and glistening water, Lake Traunsee unfolds an impressive backdrop that in many places resembles a fjord. You’ll first cycle to Gmunden, known for its traditional ceramics and the picturesque castle Ort, situated on the lake. The route then continues through the green Aurach Valley toward Lake Attersee.

Following the Seeache River, you’ll reach Lake Mondsee once again and follow the bike path along the north shore to the town of the same name. Here, the historic old town and the remains of prehistoric pile dwellings invite you to take a short exploration tour. The route then continues past the idyllic Lake Irrsee, one of the Salzkammergut’s most pristine lakes, into the Trumer Lake District. With the Lake Mattsee, the Lake Grabensee and the Lake Obertrum, three picturesque lakes await you, nestled in a gently rolling landscape.

The final stage takes you back to Salzburg through a varied cultural landscape of meadows, fields, and small villages. Enjoy the idyllic nature and relaxed atmosphere one last time before reaching the city of Mozart in the afternoon.
