Tour map

Route

Tour profile: Level 2-3

You mostly cycle along paved and well signposted cycling paths and on quiet side roads. On some longer sections you will cycle on unfortified roads. Short climbs can be overcome by pushing your bicycle.

Day 1: Munich

Individual arrival.

Day 2: Munich – Lake Starnberg, approx. 35-60 km

Your first bike stage leads you from Munich via the lakes Weßlinger and Pilsensee to Lake Ammersee, the third largest lake in Bavaria. Allow yourselves a little break in Herrsching to enjoy the fantastic view over the lake. Past the Abbey Andechs you reach Lake Starnberg. For those who would like to start the trip more comfortable can cycle directly to Lake Starnberg.

Day 3: Lake Starnberg – Murnau/Seehausen am Staffelsee, approx. 45 km

Along the east side of Lake Starnberg you cycle till Seeshaupt. Shortly before, there is a nice swimming area where you can cool off on hot days. A real insider tip is the fantastic view over the lake Riegsee, before you reach Murnau am Staffelsee

Day 4: Murnau/Seehausen am Staffelsee – Schwangau/Füssen, approx. 60 km

In the morning you cycle to the largest moor area of Central Europe. Past the moor spa in Bad Kohlgrub you become enchanted from King Ludwig’s fairy-tale castles

Day 5: Schwangau/Füssen – Nesselwang, approx. 35 km

The view of the castles Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau attend you a part longer on the way to Hopfen am See. Allow yourself a little break at one of the numerous lakes on the way to Nesselwang.

Day 6: Nesselwang – Oberstaufen, approx. 55 km

Today’s start begins a bit hillier. The compensation for these little efforts is the beautiful alpine panorama. The highlight of the day is the ride along Lake “Großer Alpsee” to Oberstaufen.

Day 7: Oberstaufen – Lake Constance, approx. 55 km

Enjoy the verdantly green landscape of the Allgäu before you enjoy the view over Lake Constance. Overnight stay in Lindau/Lochau.

Day 8: Lindau/Lochau

Individual departure or extension of trip.

7-days-variant (without an overnight in at Lake Starnberg)

Day 2: Murnau/Seehausen am Staffelsee (70 km) Your first bike stage leads you through the Forstenrieder Park to Lake Starnberg. You can cycle along the Lake or shorten the stage to approx. 50 km by boat (on your own, possible daily from approx. 1st May).

    Bicycle

    Bicycles inclusive panniers

    Following bikes are available:

    • Unisex bike with Nuvinci transmission
    • E-Bikes

The NuVinci CVT special gear system (correspond to a 27 speed bike) uses a set of rotating balls and also tilting balls in a transmission. Tilting the balls changes their contact diameters and varies the speed ratio. As a result, the NuVinci CVT system offers seamless and continuous transition to any ratio within its range.

The offered bikes are touring bikes with an aluminium frame and kitted with responsive brakes and gears. Plus: comfort gel saddles, flat-palmed grips, Schwalbe Marathon anti-puncture tyres. All bikes are equipped with a pannier (saddle bag) and a handlebar bag/per room.

    E-bikes | Electrical bikes | Pedelecs

With an electro bike every bike tour is a breeze! If you had few opportunities to cycle over the last weeks or if you are not sure concerning your fitness, but also with physical disabilities, every bike ride is a treat! The shiftable, low noise electric drive of our modern E-bike relieves you of some of the work and increases the pedal force up to 3 times ... So you can now book a bike tour together with cyclists who have different fitness level. Acclivity can be handled easily.

Good tour- although the map is a rubik’s cube to follow and really unclear!

Travel documents and maps: were VERY VERY Confusing and hard to follow. They were not well thought through- overly complicated and did not make any sense. We got lost every single day and complained about how poor the instructions were. They were vague, ...
