The Vistula, Poland’s longest and perhaps most impressive river, runs through the country like a lifeline, connecting a wealth of historic cities. The “Queen of Polish Rivers” is remarkably unspoilt, surrounded by a pristine river landscape that is unique in Europe. Along the banks of the Vistula, idyllic landscapes, dense forests and picturesque villages alternate – a perfect backdrop for an unforgettable bike tour that combines culture, history and nature in a unique way. You will visit old and historic places, such as the Gothic Copernicus city of Toruń/Thorn, picturesque towns like Chełmno/Kulm, and Marienburg with its great Teutonic Knights’ Castle.

The bike tour takes you along newly built bike paths on dikes, as well as quiet asphalt roads, forest roads.
Day 1: Warsaw/Warszawa
Individual arrival in Szczecin. At 5:15 pm meeting with the polish tour guide in the start hotel in Warsaw. Handover of the travel documents. Optional/guided tour incl: At 5.30 pm city sightseeing tour in Warsaw. Dinner and accomodation in Warsaw.
Day 2: Warsaw/Warszawa – house of birth of Chopin – Plock, approx. 35 km
After breakfast by a bus to Zelazowa Wola to the house of birth of Chopin. (Tour optional for individual guests, included when booking the guided version). Around 12 am you’ll hear the "Chopinmusic Recital" (approx. 1h). Later you cycle to the NP Kampinos where you can find two rivers: Weichsel and Bzura. In the small city Wysogrod there is the Weichsel museum worth a visist. Afterwards transfer to Plock
Day 3: Plock – Leslau/Wloclawek – Thorn/Torun, approx. 40 km
After breakfast you have the possibility to visit the city Plock. (optional for individual guests, included when booking the guided version) Then you cycle to Thorn. It’s a UNESCO world cultural heritage with beautiful buildings and some gothic churches. You can also enjoy the famous "Thorner" gingerbread.
Day 4: Thorn/Torun – Ostromecko, approx. 45 km
After breakfast city tour through the old town of Thorn with a visit to the Marienkirche and Johanneskirche (optional individual, including guided tour). In the valley of the Vistula you cycle on a cycle path that was laid out on an old railway embankment to the Bierzglowski Castle. In the afternoon through forests and fields to Ostromecko. Then you visit the palace.
Day 5: Ostromecko – Graudenz/Grudziadz, approx. 60 km
In the morning a bike tour along the Vistula to Chelmno / Kulm. Optional lunch break in the Kulm on the Old Market in the shadow of the Renaissance town hall, in whose walls the famous Kulmische Elle und Ruthe is immortalized. In the afternoon we continue our bike tour from Kulm to Grudziądz / Graudenz. Landmarks of the town of Grudziądz are the 26 granaries from the 16th and 17th centuries, that are visible from the Vistula Bridge. During this period Poland shipped grain to Gdansk by water. The old town offers an unforgettable view of the river.
Day 6: Graudenz/Grudziadz – Malbork/Marienburg, approx. 50 km
After breakfast, a short bus transfer to Kwidzyn / Marienwerder. Then you drive along the dike with a view of the lush fields and individual farmsteads to Biala Gora / Weißenberg, where the Vistula branches out - you follow the right arm, the Nogat and soon arrive at Malbork / Marienburg. One of the highlights of this bike tour is definitely the huge castle, which was once the headquarter of the Teutonic Order.
Day 7: Marienburg/Malbork – Danzig/Gdansk, approx. 35 km
After breakfast you visit the castle in Marienburg, the former headquarters of the Teutonic Order. Then a short bus ride from Marienburg to the Vistula in Tczew or Kiezmark. In the afternoon, from the Vistula to the green gate in Gdansk, you follow the course of the Motlawa / Mottlau - a beautiful cycling stage through the land of the Menonites and the Vistula lowlands. Arbor houses and the many drainage channels are a reminder of the legacy of the settlers of that time. You will then reach your hotel in Gdansk by bike. A one-hour city stroll with a guided tour through Gdansk can be made as an option (included in the guided tour).
Day 8: Danzig/Gdansk
After breakfast individual departure or additional stay in Danzig.

You are welcome to bring your own bicycle. It is adapted especially to your needs. Do not forget to bring a repair kit with all necessary tools such as: keys, reserve tube and lock. Please check your own bicycle for operability upon arrival.
