Below you will find our suggested routes for your centre based tour. These are freely selectable and combinable and represent only one of many possible itineraries - so plan your cycling holiday to match your preferences.

Tour 1: Castles around Torhout and Wijnendaele, approx. 69 km

This tour will bring you to some interesting castles. The first one is d’Aertrycke, which was built in 1869. The other one is Wijnendaele castle, which has a history of 8 centuries!

Tour 2: Damme and the town Knokke at the North Sea, approx. 59 km

On this tour, you will see the most picturesque villages of Flanders. A very popular example is Damme, because of the beautiful historic town centre. Many people visit Damme for the gastronomy and for the many interesting sights.

Tour 3: Lissewege and De Haan at the North Sea, approx. 52 km

Lissewege is a charming polder village, with a little canal flowing through the centre. The tour goes further to De Haan, a village which preserved the ‚Belle Epoque‘ style (19th century) beautifully.

Tour 4: Castle and nature around Bulskampveld, approx. 55 km

On this tour, we will cycle along the canal Bruges – Gent. A popular place of interest is the ‘Male abbey‘. This abbey was once the main castle of the duke of Flanders.

    Hotel Navarra is housed in an elegant 17th-century mansion, a 3-minute walk from the central Market Square and the Belfry of Bruges. It features free access to a spa area, an indoor swimming pool, a sauna and a gym. Guests can rent a car at the hotel. The rooms at Navarra Hotel are decorated with warm colors and feature large windows. Each has free Wi-Fi access, a flat-screen TV and free tea/coffee facilities. The bathroom has a shower or a bathtub.

    The hotel serves an extensive buffet breakfast every morning. For dinner, staff can recommend restaurants in the surrounding area. The charming terrace and jazz bar provides a place to relax and enjoy the sun.

    Bruges Train Station is 1.6 km from the Navarra. The property can assist with arranging car or bike rental to explore the historic town of Bruges and beyond. The historic center of Ghent is a 35-minute drive away. The seaside resort of Blankenberge is 12.9 km away.

    NH Hotel Brugge 4*

    The NH Brugge is set in a former monastery, right at Brugge’s ring road and across the street from the Concert Hall. It offers elegant accommodation with free Wi-Fi, 850 metres away from Bruges Central Railway Station. The rooms at NH Brugge feature a warm country décor and tastefully tiled bathrooms. Guests benefit from coffee and tea facilities, and the rooms come equipped with a TV with cable channels.

    The bar and restaurant "Ter Poele" has a terrace in summer time, it serves classic Belgian and French cuisine meals.     The offered bikes are touring bikes with an aluminium frame and kitted with responsive brakes and gears. Plus: mudguards, trip computers, comfort gel saddles, flat-palmed grips, Schwalbe Marathon anti-puncture tyres.

    All bikes are equipped with a pannier (saddle bag) and a handlebar bag/room.

The shiftable, low noise electric drive of our modern electric bike relieves you of some of the work and increases the pedal force up to 3 times ... So you can now book a bike tour together with cyclists who have different fitness levels. Acclivity can be handled easily.


    Private bicycles

    You are welcome to bring your own bicycle. It is adapted especially to your needs. Do not forget to bring a repair kit with all necessary tools such as: keys, reserve tube and lock. Please check your own bicycle for operability upon arrival.
